Decide and agree criteria

Step 1 of 4

Choose three to five things that should decide which project goes first, and agree them with the people who will approve the work. Describe each one so that 5 is the best score.

Add up to 8 criteria. Three to five usually keeps the discussion focused.
Weights are relative: a criterion weighted 4 counts twice as much as one weighted 2.

Step 2 of 4

Score each project from 1 to 5: 1 is poor, 5 is the best, as you described it in step 1. Leave a score blank if you’re not sure yet, and click a chosen score again to clear it.

Step 3 of 4

Updates as you score, based on 0 of 18 scores.

Score at least one project on every criterion to see the ranking.

This ranking is a starting point for discussion. It doesn’t decide what to fund: people do, using the evidence behind each score.

Next, take it to the meeting, or ask your AI tool to challenge the scores.

Step 4 of 4

Take the ranking into your meeting, or ask your organisation’s approved AI tool to stress-test it. Nothing is saved on our side.

Challenge my scores

We’ll prepare a request for your organisation’s approved AI tool. It asks the AI to:

  • show which criteria most influence the ranking
  • spot scores that look inconsistent
  • suggest the evidence a sponsor may ask for
  • point out trade-offs, without saying what to fund

Available once at least one project is fully scored.
